We've had a great turnout today. This is just a reminder that if you've already grabbed a prompt today, you can grab one more tomorrow.

Round 2 will open tomorrow, November 8th, at 12 pm EST. Here is a countdown clock for the event to make it easier to track the time.

If you signed up and haven't made a claim yet, please feel free to visit the Round 1 Claim Post here to claim one and definitely come back tomorrow for Round 2 if another caught your eye!

And if you missed sign-ups but have seen a prompt that's calling you, tomorrow will be open to everyone who might still want to claim a prompt whether you signed up or not!

Let's give the fandom all the Happily Ever Afters we can!

We've received a few emails, comments and messages here and on Tumblr from folks who missed the claims deadline. So we have decided to give people one last shot at a happy ending and offer the fandom a Valentine as the show ends. Who are we to stand in the way of something that's meant to be?

We will offer a 24 hour claim day for anyone interested in participating in this round, even if you didn't sign up for the challnege. That means any and all are welcome to put in a claim for one of the remaining prompts. For those that have already claimed the maximum of two prompts and you think you could handle a third (but please be very sure you can handle it), you are also welcome to grab another and, of course, those who claimed one prompt are also welcome to grab a second.

Open claim day will start on Sunday, October 20th at 9 am EST, in a brand, new post. This is not that post. Here is a clock to help you count down the hours. Prompts can be found here and here (if they have only been claimed for one medium, they will be marked accordingly; those struck through have been claimed for both).

Info on how to claim can be found here. Please familiarize yourself with it.

Bring on that Happy Ending! You know it's meant to be!

This post is now locked. Please make your final claims here!

Even in the worst of times, we look for a silver lining.

Nisaki, our third mod, has been offline for most of the past 24 hours. She was able to get on temporarily today to let us know that her city has been placed under an open-ended curfew and the Internet was cut for a good portion of that time. It's back now, but due to the ongoing political protests, there's no guarantee it will remain that way.

DON'T PANIC. The good news is that Nisaki and her family are okay, even though it's a scary situation for everyone.

The bad news is that besides being a great writer and artist, Nisaki is also our amazing forms guru, and none of us know what her connectivity will be this weekend. Moreover, real life has got to be her first concern right now, for all the obvious reasons.

The silver lining to this (we can hear the cheers from some of you already) is that because of this, we will be using the old method of responding to the claims post with comments. [livejournal.com profile] phoenix1966 will take point on this, with [livejournal.com profile] casey679 providing support and keeping an spreadsheet updated just for folks who want to see an easy summary of the results.

It's frustrating to not be able to offer more than positive thoughts in a time like this, but if you haven't read or seen any of her creations, now's a great time to check them out and maybe leave a positive comment or two. It'd be a nice surprise to be waiting for her when things calm down over there!

Tomorrow, we will post the traditional template we would like you to use for claiming on Saturday. And this will be that rare time we will be emailing all participants so that for those of you not on LJ, etc. will be aware of this last-minute change.
